Last month I have suffered severe dry lips this is from wearing different matte long-lasting lip colors. I'm someone who grew up with lip balms I couldn't live without them I always had chappy lips and you could imagine my struggle every time I eat, drink or even staying in an air-conditioned room.
I tried all types of lip balms and there are just few brands that does the deed wonderful, but most are petroleum jelly in different packaging. Recently, I noticed that my lips got darker aside from being dry the balms didn't do much help. From my research the only way to work with matte lipsticks without drying your lips too much is to dab balms or moisturizers on lips before applying and use a toothbrush to exfoliate. I've been doing these for years it helps however, for me it wasn't 100% especially this time.

I stopped using matte lip colors for a while and started to pay attention to my lip's condition. I gave this organic lip scrub concoction a try for a week to see if it works.
Ingredients:
Extra virgin olive oil
Sugar
Green Tea
Honey
Base on the ingredients I can already tell this is healthier than most balms in the market. It smells terrific I am crazy for green tea and olive oil, the combination is just divine.
I used it for a week before bedtime to let my lips absorb it well. On the third day, hands down it is true - sugar is the best in exfoliation my lips got lighter and pinkish. I was astonished there was an obvious significant change, I don't have chap lips and definitely it got brighter. Fast forward, on the seventh day feels of my lips and looks so much better it has a new life. It's now pinkish, no more flaking or chaps.
My verdict organic is the way to go. This is now part of my weekly routine.
By the way, it also helped lessen the hyper pigmentation around my chin area. I used it as a scrub on some parts of my face.
