When I hear or see the word "Minimalism" there are only three things that come to my mind - SIMPLE, AUTHENTIC and LUXURY.

Living minimally is allowing yourself to be conscious with the surroundings and what you bring in your life. There aren't strict rules however, there are guidelines because as humans we forget, we get emotional and sometimes irrational.

That is why the number one guide for me is SIMPLICITY. It applies in designs and how to think or do things. When choosing accessories for your home or fashion I always go for the basic it lessens mistakes. If you are downsizing home or closet, versatility is the answer and it makes a person creative. It may look basic but well - thought.

A lot of people perceive living minimally is a deprivation. In fact, it is the opposite, how can a person be deprived when they are enjoying and loving it. If, it gives you joy to use your old sweater until it gets tattered by all means wear it because it has value to you. Being AUTHENTIC and genuinely acknowledging that you are different, you're special in your own way is the best thing.

And lastly, LUXURY. Minimalism is a luxury that not everyone has. It is challenging journey which may not be applicable to everyone. The true luxury here is time. Being able to enjoy and value time is important.
